‘Throwing shade at my kitten LOL’: Problematic ex-roommate accuses woman of adopting a calico cat solely because she owns a calico, 2 months after no contact

If you have the luxury of living by yourself in this economy, count your blessings. The roommate life is anything but easy, even if you're a stellar roommate with a clean track record surrounding doing the dishes.

When you meet someone for the first time, they might seem like the ideal person to share a living space with. They have no credit card debt, they can front their share of the security deposit, and they offer to put their name down on one of the utility bills. What more could you ask for? 

Well, you can't really know someone until you've lived with them for some time. That's when they show their true colors and start accusing you of adopting the same color cat as them solely because they have a cat with a similar coat… Even though your boyfriend adopted the cat for you, and you had no idea. Yeah, that's what's going on in this next story. The woman who posted the story attached screenshots from her audacious ex-roommate, who she's not had contact with for over two months. Upon first greeting, she brings forth the insane accusations.

  • This woman explains that her ex-roommate was not an easy person to live with, and that's why they went their separate ways. She's not given reasons for the split, but with roommate breakups, it's usually pretty bad. Imagine sacrificing your homely living space just to get away from someone. Yeah, it's usually serious. They'd not reached out to each other for months, but the ex-roommate decided to stir the pot and disguised her salty feelings with a, “Hey, how are you?” message. They never care about how you're doing, BTW.

  • Suspicious_Orange_71 I could have made a post about my experience living with her on here but it would be too long. Just one example she told me she couldn't wash the dishes in the sink (vs putting them in a dishwasher) because she has trauma surrounding doing the dishes as a child

  • corvuscorpussuvius Psychotic, glad you got away from that. Calicos are common and present in nearly every litter at least once. From personal experience on top of that, I can concur. I cannot recall witnessing a litter without one calico, tortie, or tortico.
